Understanding TCM in Disease Management
Chinese medicine has been used for years to managed the conditions
of illness and wellness. These cannot be done without any proper
principle. This talk shares the basic principle of Chinese medicine
on how it manages disease and how TCM view disease and its management.
The basic principle of causation of illness, its diagnosis and
management is discuss, along with its principle of heat and cold,
yin and yang.
Dr Swee Yong Peng is the CEO of Primary Care Network for Parkway
Group. He holds a degree in Medicine & Surgery from the National
University of Singapore and Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine
from Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China,
specialising in the integration of Eastern and Western medicine.
His expertise in integrative medicine allows him to prescribe both
Western and Chinese therapies, to achieve the best clinical outcomes.
Dr. Swee is the Board Director of the Singapore College of Traditional
Chinese Medicine, the largest TCM college in Singapore.
